Part-time staff for cleaning, hospitality and overnight shifts at hostel DEN.
About the hostel
Our hostel, hostel DEN, is a mid-sized hostel with 56 beds, located around Nihonbashi, Kanda and Akihabara in Tokyo.
You can work in a homey, friendly atmosphere and enjoy conversations with guests from all around the world, making it an ideal place for those who want to use or improve their foreign-language skills like English.
Rather than simply following a manual, you’ll have the opportunity to build and shape things from scratch, which makes work rewarding.
Key tasks
We’re looking for part-time staff (cleaning, hospitality, overnight shifts). Minimum commitment: 3+ months (see Qualifications below). You will handle a variety of tasks including front-desk work, cleaning, housekeeping, tourist information and local events.
Training

Duties include
- Check-ins and guest service (day or night shifts)
- Cleaning and bed-making
- Luggage storage, tourist assistance and other hostel-related work
Workplace atmosphere and staff
We welcome proactive ideas, events and new systems, and suggestions are seriously considered. Many staff members are travel-lovers, backpackers or former working-holiday participants, using English frequently on the job.
We’re looking for people who are friendly, honest, independent and proactive, and willing to share ideas.

- Cleaning: 10:00–15:00
- Front desk: 10:00–19:00 (1-hour break)
- Overnight: 19:00–22:00 and the next morning 9:00–10:00. Between 22:00 and 9:00, guest support when the bell rings.
